Using words like "the best" should raise the spectrum of eyebrows and questions like, "how do you know?" and, "according to whom?". When I look at people who have accomplished major achievement both offline and online, it is hard for me to think of someone who is more knowledgeable and effective than Mark Joyner.

It's rare you get a chance to sit across the table from someone who can give you a straight answer as to what you should or can do to get what you want by doing x, y or z.

Yes, I've asked Mark to Keynote this event on Day One. But watching a great presenter at an event is really no different than listening to your favorite singer or watching your favorite actor on stage. It's cool, it's exciting and it's not all that profitable...unless...

...The Presenter has a good reason to be incredibly valuable in addition to being entertaining at the same time. But there is a problem.

I say, "They can REALLY ask you anything, and I mean anything and you'll tell this audience how to do it...c'mon...really?"

"Yes."

"Excellent. I will tell Coffee Readers that."

Then I read about an Internet Marketer who has a gig in April who is going to milk his lead speaker for everything he knows.

Except that it isn't true.

Because what happens in real life is the Speaker Q at Event X leads people by whetting the audience's appetite and then closing the audience members one by one into buying what might be a very cool program for the equivalent of a year's salary.

Now, how do I actually get my point across to you, which is that the same promise means something when it comes out of my mouth; even when time and again you've heard the promise and over and over you find out... it's a lot of garbage. It's a "pitch" or worse a "pitchfest."

In other words, at their event they might say, "outsource" and you go, "cool!!" You get home and go, "dang I forgot to ask TO WHO?!"

Didn't matter, it was in the extended subscription program you bought for that year's salary.

So what I've always tried to do is GET TO THE POINT. I hate stopping half way. "Ah and that's in my program."

Screw that.

Just tell me.

And that's the scoop.

So how do I get any of the amazing presenters at Influence Boot Camp VII to truly lay it out there?

I'm not sure I even know myself.

Maybe it's respect that Presenters have for the Influence: Boot Camp audience. IBC audiences are smarter, sharper, more imaginative and they like to have a good time while they sponge up new information.

For some reason....as I told Mark, "It's magical."

I will show you the email. He probably thought I was captured by a cult or "The Secret" or something...certainly I've lost my little scientific mind...it's magical...now how do I live up to MAGICAL for the presenter?!

"You gotta be there," doesn't quite cut it with me but " 'tis true" as my Grandmother used to say.

The answer, of course, is that it starts with an audience that knows what questions to ASK in the first place and having a team that is cool with telling it all.

And there is one little trick I do that a lot of other people don't.

I put myself with, say, two geniuses at the front of the room and tell the audience to tell us about their business (sometimes a personal life issue related to persuasion but usually it's more sales or business related), what they need done, what they want to have happen for them, what their current skills are...and then the three of us up front compete with each other to give the most profound and complete answer.

And that works.

OK so I enjoy a little manipulation. Lakhani will never read this far down. I know he won't. You should see it when the wheels spin in his brain. "Ah Kevin just gave that advice, this will totally blow them all away...."

And man is HE good.

But Mark Joyner is THE guy this year. He truly is. He packs more information into a paragraph than anyone I've ever met. He can be as concise or as complete as required and it feels like it's edited beautifully when he tells you the answer to your problem. It's almost like he prepared for a month just for the Q/A.

Ideas are rarely great. I'm not sure I've ever heard many ideas worth more than fifty bucks.

A groundbreaking idea that is IMPLEMENTABLE and MARKETABLE by almost anyone, is, on the other hand, is a GREAT IDEA.

I cringe at "great ideas" because ...they are almost always 100% impotent and you could post them on the sign outside the church on the road into town and not one person would make a buck on the idea.

You can't GIVE IDEAS away.

In these Business Storms we do...well...they are rather...yep... magical....

Now Scott was in the top 3% of Heating and Air Conditioning Salesman in the COUNTRY until he made ONE FATAL MISTAKE.

Now that's cool...but what's it have to do with Influence: Boot Camp VII?

At Influence Boot Camp III, Tonya Reiman was nervous as a cat as she gave her very first 8 minute presentation for the audience and the camera. We'll have to do a study sometime to figure out just WHAT IT IS. Because I can only guess.

I just know it's...rather...magical...

I spent the past year redesigning Boot Camp to do all the work for you...

...I believe I have "fixed," the problem...

You can have the answer, or continue on in the same old.....

  • She doesn't return your calls.
  • He complains business is still bad, call back next month.

  • You tried what they taught you and it didn't work.
  • You learned from them and never had success with it.
Look, there's a million reasons to be at Influence: Boot Camp 2010, but your brain will try and come up with reasons not to go... it has to... that's how brains work... and it's a good thing.

Too "expensive?"
